Harlequins center despite not being a part of their World Cup squad Joe Marchant will start England’s final warm-up game against Italy on Friday.
Marchant is alongside Piers Francis at the midfield in what is called a“mix and match selection strategy“.
Ruaridh McConnochie will make his debut on the wing and now joins Anthony Watson and Jonny May in the back three.
Billy Vunipola makes his fourth start of the campaign at number eight.
„We’ve gone with a blend and match choice policy to develop our adaptability and the team’s capability to cope with any circumstance,“ explained head coach Eddie Jones.
Friday’s match in Newcastle will be the very first England Test match to be staged in St James’ Park.
Jones’ side fly to Japan on Sunday ahead of their championship opener against Tonga on 22 September.
„We are playing at an iconic football floor and we all know the region is a significant one for rugby in the northern part of England,“ Jones added.

Marchant made his England debut as a substitute against Wales last month prior to coming on against Ireland a fortnight past.
Following the Bath guy pulled with muscle soreness his inclusion raises questions within the fitness Jonathan Joseph.
Fellow center Henry Slade hasn’t played a minute of rugby since picking up a knee injury in camp, and is missing .
Meanwhile, Vunipola’s inclusion in the back-row for its fourth match seems a bet by Jones.
Nevertheless trainer Neal Hatley said on Thursday that the England administration had no worries about the workload of Vunipola.
„Some of the main items with Billy would be to keep him playing,“ Hatley said.
Although Anthony Watson plays full-back for the very first time since March 2018 captain Owen Farrell starts at fly-half for its first time in the warm-up schedule.
„We have had a good training week in Treviso with warm conditions so we are looking forward to testing ourselves from Italy on Friday night,“ Jones added.
