Fulham face Charlton at the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Football.
Fulham manager Scott Parker reported no new selection concerns ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match. The Cottagers won 4-1 at Reading on Tuesday night to extend their unbeaten run to five games.
Midfielder Harry Arter returned into the in the Madejski Stadium along with defender Denis Odoi and forward Bobby Decordova-Reid. Harrison Reed, steven Sessegnon and Ivan Cavaleiro, however, could be in contention having been unused replacements.
Charlton will check to Craven Cottage on forward Chuks Aneke ahead of the trip. Aneke picked up a groin problem, although came on as a substitute in Wednesday nights 2-1 home defeat by Swansea so will be assessed.
His stomach problem, which might render the Addicks short of cover in left-back pushed off in The Valley defender Ben Purrington. Top scorer Lyle Taylor (knee) continues his comeback, combined with forward Tomer Hemed (thigh), midfielder Beram Kayal (groin) and shield Lewis Page (Achilles).
Following a start, considering departing the Carabao Cup next defeat on August 27 Fulham have got to the groove in the month and are unbeaten in all competitions. Last workout, they ran out 2-0 winners against Wigan, thumped Reading 4-1 and, four days earlier. Following a run of three successive 1-1 draws those two victories came.
The Addicks variant has been almost completely contrasting. In the first weeks, the encouraged side of Lee Bowyer won games right, left and centre, but they have suffered because star man Lyle Taylor endured an accident during the international break. On Tuesdaythey dropped but a dazzling win came in between beats and that to Birmingham and Wigan.
Fulham boss Scott Parker:Ive been back as a participant and got a lot of stick because I left on bad terms. I knew that the fans disappointment as we had been flying, once I left, doing really well, and that had been a massive part of it in the moment. I went and watched Charlton against Swansea…heading back to the Valley and seeing a few old faces there.
This is a club which has been a large portion of my life plus a club which I owe so much to. It gave me the opportunity to become. It gave me this chance. Now it nurtured me gave me a few of those core values Ive. I hold Charlton in nothing but high regard.
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer:it is a difficult challenge. They are among the favorites to find advertising, thats their expectation I think. For me that they have the best team at the branch. A whole good deal of Premier League players, a great deal of Premier League players that are experienced.
Defensively, were going to need to be correct, were going to have to do the defensive side of the game very well and after that once we do that we must move the ball immediately. Nothing changes from our side.
When Lee Bowyer guided Charlton to League One play-off glory again in May, it is fair to say many Addicks fans would not have expected to see them hanging comfortably in the top half of this Championship, where they had not been seen as the 2015/16 campaign.
Whats even more unexpected is that Lee Bowyer – who had been running a fishing industry in France a few years ago – stays even though coming close to leaving The Valley following a difficulties. The brilliant start has been slowed due to an injury to star striker Lyle Taylor, however, Saturdays London derby provides an perfect stage to reignite it.
Fulham are unbeaten in their last 10 games against Charlton in all competitions (W5 D5 L0) since a 2-1 defeat in December 2004 from the Premier League.
Charlton are winless in 12 away matches against Fulham in most competitions (W0 D3 L9), losing their last three visits with an aggregate score of 10-0.
Fulham have won 16 of their last 20 home Championship matches (like play-offs), losing just once in that streak (W16 D3 L1).
Charlton have not lost successive league games losing at League One to Coventry and Barnsley.
Fulham have lost just one of their final 10 London derbies in the Championship (W5 D4 L1), a 3-1 defeat to Brentford at December 2017.
Charlton have won their last three league London derbies – they still have not won four consecutively since March 2000 beneath Alan Curbishley.
Fulham still would have done though John Swift had not been shipped off at 1-0, and probably blew Reading off in midweek. Theyll do that to teams this year that offer them space.
Charlton will not. They will be up with this at Craven Cottage and eager to bounce back from their defeat, and having initially taken the lead against Swansea. Score draw .
David Prutton forecasts: 2-2 (16/1 with Sky Bet)
